About us

Dierenkliniek De Beestenhoek is a companion animal clinic with its main location in Bergschenhoek and a branch in Bleiswijk.

The practice has existed since 1985 and was initially owned by Fred Zwart, but was taken over by Mirka Bredero-Ondris and Karen Bus-Raeman on 1 April 2014. In the process, the name of Dierenkliniek De Beestenhoek remained, but a new logo was designed. The logo features three animals, symbolising the animals most often treated at the practice. Fun fact: The sketch of the dog is the side view of Mirka's (now deceased) dog.

The practice in Bergschenhoek is located in a residential area, the Oranjewijk. The building was the former White Cross building. The building in Bleiswijk is a lot newer than the one in Bergschenhoek. In 2019, the practice moved from a small old log cabin to a beautiful new building built in 2017.

From January 2024, Mirka became sole owner of the practice. The team has expanded over the years and on 1 April 2024 (10 years after the start) consists of six veterinarians and seven para-veterinarians.
