Gastroscopy
We are pleased to announce that we will start offering gastroscopy for our patients in 2024. Gastroscopy is an advanced diagnostic method that allows us to view the health of your dog's or cat's gastrointestinal tract with a camera and provide targeted examination and/or treatment afterward.
What is Gastroscopy?
Gastroscopy is a non-invasive procedure that uses a flexible endoscope to examine the inside of your dog or cat's gastrointestinal tract while the animal is under sedation. Using this beautiful technology and the vet's expertise, we can view the oesophagus, stomach and part of the small intestine in detail.
Why Gastroscopy?
- Accurate diagnosis: Gastroscopy allows our vets to accurately diagnose conditions such as gastritis, stomach ulcers, foreign bodies and other gastrointestinal problems.
- Minimal invasion: Unlike some other diagnostic procedures, gastroscopy is minimally invasive and does not require surgical incisions. The result is less discomfort and faster recovery for your dog or cat.
- Targeted treatment: With a clear picture of the condition, we can prescribe targeted treatments specific to the needs of your dog or cat.
